This  is a wonderful Elizabeth Montgomery mini series. It has a great cast ;and co-stars in a 3 disc set. good story taken place in the wild west of 1790's.

I have been waiting for this dvd to drop down to my price zone. As soon as it did I bought it. Tells the story of pioneers in Ohio Territory in the 1790s with Elizabeth Montgomery %26 Hal Holbrook.

Elizabeth Montgomery goes from young girl to middle aged and is very believable in this mini series. The historical value is enough of a reason to watch this. Being from Ohio, I really enjoyed this look at the past

Dvd movie

I loved this miniseries back in the 1970 when I first saw it on tv. It's one of my all time favorites and if you love history it's one of the most realistic I've seen. Also I've read the books the miniseries was based on and they followed the books very closely with somethings left out due to timing constraints but all and all it's a wonderfully done story with lots of heart and honestly.

excellent mini-series but THERE IS NO CLOSE CAPTIONING.   i had to 3 every piece of dialog for a deaf person - hence the 1 star.   this is the 21st century and the creators of this DVD never heard of close captioning.   Disappointment

This is a great miniseries...I loved it and was ready to purchase it. But before purchasing it, I would recommend that you check Amazon's customer reviews -- in particular, the 1-star reviews, and the italicized portion of the Editorial Reviews on the product page. If Walmart gets their copies from the same source, or in the same way, there may be a quality issue.
