If you remember the series from "back in the day," it's just as much fun now.  Great actors, great writing and just a joy to watch over and over again.

Perfection

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I grew up watching this show but had forgotten about it until Bob Newhart's recent death. Not only is it a great show, but the DVD set is neatly organized, unlike some other complete series collections. The price was the best I was able to find, with some others costing three times as much. Very pleased with everything.

First, the quality of each disc or the way it was copied is not consistent. Some great and some marginal. They also don't seem to be in order on the DVD based on set design and hair styles of Emily. It seems there were a few that were out of sequence. I wish the sound and video quality were consistent. These were the most expensive TV series in my collection too.

Quality not consistent

I'm disappointed as every disc has problems where the episode begins ok then freezes up over and over.  Not every episode but every disc.  Seems like it's cheap copy quality.

Too bad the discs are not good quality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm on season three of BOB Newhart show DVDS .The first season was fine. Season two and season three have been really bad. First few episodes work fine, the last three or four episodes keep stopping and starting and you miss parts of dialogue and how people move. This is on every disc for these seasons. Not a good buy. Not sure if rest of seasons will be this way.
