Information

Great Book for boys 8+. Encourage them to keep in car and pick up when bored. So much information about life and what is around them.

Great Big Book

This book is an excellent book for essentials every boy should know. Turning boys into men with general bits of useful information.

Essentials for Boys

Ordered 2 books after reading at my daughter's house. HAd them shipped to my local Walmart and they arrived with the covers a little beat up. The book itself is fantastic and fun to read for all ages.

Love the Book but not in pristine condition

This is a beautiful hard cover book containing what many would consider essentials (practical knowledge) for boys preparing for life. It may have some conservative views in it, which it okay with me. Overall, it is just very basic, practical information that many families are too busy these days to pass on. I originally bought it for an 8 year old boy. However,  once I had the book in hand, I realized that it was more appropriate for a boy of 12 or or older. I liked the book too much to return it, so I am keeping to read and/or to give as a gift when the right opportunity presents itself.  This is a high quality purchase for which I paid only $8.99! What a value!

Book of practical and essential info

My son enjoys making traps and is very adventurous. This has been a great book for him. I was trying to think outside the box instead of getting toys or games for him for his birthday so I got him a bunch of different adventure books and survival books this was one of the ones that he really enjoyed.

Great book for my 8 year old son

This book is my favorite gift to give to any boy- young or old! I've given this to my young nephews- even before they could read. Dad had to pry it out of their hands after they fell asleep at night just to get their turn at reading this book. I've also given it to a 17 yr old just entering college. His first Christmas home he made a point to tell me how much he loved this book and how when he was invited to his first poker night with the guys, it had saved him  the embarrassment of not knowing the basic rules of the game. It has practical information, how-to's for all the boyhood games and skills that makes life magical. I wish I had had this book when I was growing up- and I'm a girl!

How to have a happy childhood

My son may be a tad too young for this (just turned 8), but his dad, grandfather, and uncles sure enjoyed it at my son's birthday party.  It's full of interesting and fun information.  Love it!

A friend recommended this book for my grandson, they too bought it for their grandson. Excellent book.

Grandson's book

I think my grandson is going to be intrigued by this. It has so many different topics gathered into one book and seems to be well-written.
However, it was delivered on a rainy day, boxed only in cardboard, no plastic wrap around it at all. If we had found the package 15 minutes later than we did, the book would have suffered water damage and I certainly would not be able to give it as a birthday present.
