The rope and candy cane hooks, along with the suction cup boots were the highlight for us. They enabled lots of fun antics for the elf and lots of different things that could be done, (unlike the princess dress which only allowed the elf to stand on a flat surface).

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Really happy with this addition to my 2 elves - the book has given us some great ideas on what to do with them each night, and the little attachments and extras make putting them into more fun and crazy poses super easy. Really happy! One nitpick - the book says it has over 100 days of ideas, but most of them are using the elves in different configurations with the same handful of new props - like "here's the elf pulling up a cookie with the hook" --- day 2: "Here's the elf pulling up a dog treat" --- Day 3: "here's the elf pulling up a gift from under the tree" --- and so on. Ultimately though, you'll get a ton of mileage from 4 main pieces:
1. The candy hook with rope attached.
2. The larger hook with rope attached.
3. The belt with suction cup attached - nice for sticking them to glass and windows
4. Boots with suction cups attached.

If you need some creative ideas and want some practical extras to put your elves in crazier positions, this is a good buy.

Cool Ideas and Props for Poses

This is a fun set with a book full of ideas and accessories for your elf to run wild with. I haven't seen anything in the book that would “give away” the magic of the elf to where a child sees it and will be confused - I mostly got this for the accessories. The chair was kind of hard to snap together and I feared breaking it. I don't care to disassemble it because of that reason. The other accessories are fun and make for an easy way to create magic.

Fun Ideas For Elf On The Shelf With Accessories

Super cute and comes with a book for ideas!

Cute, not as many ideas as I hoped but very cute, it made pur first year more fun.

Elf accessories

Bought for my future grandchildren. I know that it will be a lot of fun for them because the whole concept of Elf on the Shelf is a Christmas wonder for children and can be fun for adults if they have the childlike wonder for Christmas. I wish it was around when my Son was young. I think all parents of young children should familiarize themselves with the Elf concept. So special.

Elf on the Shelf accessories

If you ever had the first kit, like I did, this kit will be disappointing. I did not realize, while labeled the same, some things are missing and some things are made of cardboard instead of the plastic they were previously made of. It is definitely made cheaper for the same price or higher, if I am recalling correctly. I also don't appreciate that the new bendy elves don't really go with some of the older elf products. There should be some compatibility information. This company amd these things have the pptential to be totally amazing and make even more money than they do. I feel they lack real mom testers. I know I am not the only one fighting with elf items at 10pm!

Immediately I noticed the box wasn't sealed as a new item should be. There was no “60 page idea book” in my box; only the props. Not worth the hassle of returning.
