This book is basically a comprehensive guide to most ingredients and what pairs with all of them. Have no idea how to use a certain ingredient? Look it the ingredient in  question and find everything it pairs with . Want to do something different with an ingredient you use all the time? This has a super in depth list of complimentary flavors and ingredients to get you thinking . Some things I never would have thought to pair together before reading this book. If you love to cook and experiment with new flavors and ideas this is an absolute must have.

Karen Page has given me more ideas on what works best with what. She also has a Vegetarian Flavor Bible. Her books give ideas which create variety in cooking.

Worth it!

If you love cooking and really want to broaden your flavor horizons this is absolutely the book for you. So much great and useful information. I bought one as a gift for a friend in Florida who is a fantastic cook and she found a ton of useful information and helpful tips that she can now use to increase her culinary skills....If ya cook, ya need this book.....
