It's very interesting and will keep the attention of your raider young or old! It's a great classroom read, read aloud or book for your child to read on their own! A real page turner that sparks creativity and conversation!  And it's the first book in a series so the fun can continue!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 3rd  grader is SO hooked on this story. The story is about twins Alex and Conner Bailey, who are struggling after the loss of their father. On their 12th birthday, their grandmother gives them an old fairy-tale book called The Land of Stories. What they don't realize is that the book is magical, and it transports them into a world where fairy tales are real. The story mixes adventure, humor, magic, and friendship and you get to see familiar characters like Cinderella, Red Riding Hood, and Goldilocks. 

The book is  definitely not small (448 pages), but I love that it encouraged my daughter to read longer chapters without losing interest; there's enough suspense and excitement to keep young readers hooked and the writing is easy for elementary-aged readers to follow.

I'd recommend this for kids who enjoy fantasy, fairy tales, and adventure stories. It's been a huge hit in our house. I saw that there are 6 total books in the series; we'll definitely be picking up the next book in the series soon.

p.s: I didn't realize the author is an actor from Glee - I never watched the show but I remember seeing him on TV.  I thought that was pretty cool.

The characters are interesting, the stories are fun and exciting, and it's so creative how the plot fits with so many different fairytales at once!

We're waiting for Disney to make the movie.
It kept our attention and had multiple surprises.  There were familiar characters which made it a compelling read.

Fun book

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter loves this story! The series has been a big hit and I'm happy to have added the book to her collection. My only negative would be the description online says hardcover, but it is not a hardcover book that arrived. Disappointing, but doesn't change that it's a good read for my 10 year old daughter.
