[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband builds cigar box guitars, so he uses this stuff a lot. It is great for covering up wood imperfections, filling gaps and crevices. It dries fast and it works well with wood stains. 

It changes colors when it dries, which helps you know when the wood is ready to be sanded. It has a smooth consistency and is easy to apply. 

A little bit is all we need for most of our projects, so hopefully, the product will stay fresh until we finish the container. We've also used it when building a few shelves and tables and it worked just as good.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The minwax color changing wood filler is great for all kinds of projects. I have used it for so many different things. I had to repair my wood table, a wall, a railing, and a couple small projects. You put it over the part you want filled in than when it dries it changes from the pink color. you can easily sand it down and paint over it. Its a great brand too that you can get other great products from to finish the project. I believe its always important to read the instructions when using a product like this. I would only use it on small holes and wait for the color to turn away from pink which means its dry.

great for patch work

I don't know how the company did it, but it literally matched to the different colors of wood that I have in my house. I will never try any other wood filler product other than this one. Fantastic product.

Easy, easy!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this filler to fill in huge gouges in my kitchen table.  The consistency was very smooth and thick.  It went into each crevice with easy.  After drying and sanding, it felt like the rest of the table.  When it was done being stained, you could even tell the difference.

Perfect for DIY

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Minwax Color Changing Wood Filler helped me a lot with my DIYs, especially when I created errors like drilling a hole too deep. I used a small amount, leave it to dry, sand-paper it and then paint. The container shows that it should look pink and dries natural. However, mines looked brown but still dries natural. I like that the process doesn't take long, and that the wood filler can also be painted. I will definitely continue using for my DIYs.

Dries fast and is great. I gave it three stars because it dries white, not a natural color like it says.

It goes on easy and the coloring changing makes it easy to see if you missed any spots. The downside is after I put the stain over it you could tell where it was filled in. It is not really bad, but I can notice it. I think it would look better if it was painted over.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was excited to try this in my doorframe that received a gouge/hole when moving furniture through it. It applied nicely but after drying it didn't seem to adhere very well and came out of the hole I filled. I assumed user error and tried it again. It seemed to hold better the second time but after sanding and trying to stain over it you could definitely see the difference between the unscathed area and the part that had been repaired. It still looked better than the gouge but not as esthetically pleasing as I'd hoped.

A bit of a let down

Few weeks ago bought color changing minwax wood filler for custom project. Filled brad nail holes marks and let it dry. Next day sanded it and it all looked good. Started painting over. For my surprise the filler started changing color back from natural to pinkish bleeding behind the paint. Waited for the paint to dry for 4-6 hours and applied another coat, the wood filler bleeding persisted. The concerns are that even if you get it sealed with additional coats of paint it can eventually bleed later on the road once the coffee table is exposed to higher moisture levels.
