I have the original release of this cookbook it has been used so much theat the binding has all came unglued so I wanted to replace this cookbook for myself I also bought two additional books to give as presents for my two oldest sons we all love so many of these great recipes in this cookbook.

I bought this from a recommendation.  The size of the book and pages is hard to hold.  It does lay open flat.  It's 800 pages, a large fat book.  There is lots of explanation for basic cooks.  What I looked for in the cookbook was not for my taste.  I think you should see this cookbook before buying.
