Protect your purchase

My first paper shredder and I wonder why I never got one for the Library before.  Plan to use shredded product to make paper.

For small volume shredding this is the answer.

Shredder was good for what I needed with household bills that need to be shredded each month and so far is exactly what I expected.

Good Small Home Shredder

I've had this about 5 years.  Sometimes it just stops shredding mid-sheet, but keeps on trying to work.  I think it's because occasionally a sheet goes in on a slight angle and it's "mouth" doesn't like that.  Have to unplug, pull out the shredded strips and the un-shredded half.  Then use tweezers to get into the teeth to pull out small scraps. ( Hmmm, maybe I should have tried dental floss - haha.)  I've a few years of old tax papers to shred, so I'm going to Walmart to buy a cross-cut shredder.

It's okay.

I bought this shredder a year ago, I spent more time disassembling it and reassembling it to clear the paper residue that, every time, gets stuck in the blades and this, even if I go one page at a time. Even if you are given this shredder for free, refuse there, you will avoid frustration.

Do not buy this product

This shredder is a piece of junk! First couple of uses was fine, but after a month of light use, the shredder always jammed for no reason at all... even when passing through 1 sheet of regular printer paper! Sometimes, it would even suck in half a piece of paper, and then shut off, leaving the other half sticking out. I will never recommend this product to anyone... do not waste your money and time trying to unclog this thing.

Piece of Junk!

...but in this case you do.  As in, you'll get 3 months of problem-free shredding, followed by several hours of unclogging/reclogging/reversing/reclogging, followed by an unceremonious  heaving of the device into your nearby dumpster.  I have no idea why it seems to have decided to only shred half a sheet, and then stop its feed, while the blades continue to scream like a banshee, but short of an exorcism I don't think there's any hope of repair.  Goodbye, sweet WMC6SB - I hardly knew ye.

You don't always get what you pay for...

3rd one in a week. Never clears out properly, auto feature burns out fast and it is on nonstop, which then causes it to overheat and shut off. It can't even shred newspaper flyers one sheet at a time, which each sheet has been torn into 3 inch wide sections because the credit card slot won't allow ANYTHING TO PASS THROUGH (smack dab in the center of the unit, awesome job....)

Can't be bothered returning it as I've lost the receipt from my previous 2 returns.

Avoid at all costs. Seriously.

Absolute garbage

I agree with Ighoruk. The paper was always stuck... we spent our time removing the pieces... until the engine completely let go because it had formed an inaccessible pile of paper. Fortunately, it didn’t cost us much to buy.

After using few times only, it stopped working. Can not feed the paper any more.
