I purchased this for Christmas so my review is only as good as it is for anyone that plays with this in the store.... so for those of you thinking of buying this without seeing it first: Oh my gosh, it is too cute. Max walks and talks, stops to wiggle and is sure to make your little one laugh. My son is 5 and LOVES secret life of pets and he hasn't stopped asking me to ask Santa for this Max. He is fabric like a stuffed animal so I won't be allowing it to go outside for a walk but I'm sure my son will be happy walking him around the house daily.

I bought one for my granddaughter's birthday in June and my grandson had been jealous, so I gave him one for early Christmas and they won't stop playing with them.

My 4 year-old son got Max for Christmas & it is his new best friend!  He loves to walk him.  The toy works well on all types of flooring & seems to be very sturdy.  Excellent purchase!!

My grandson loves his new toy. I am glad I purchased. This was one of his toy items on his Christmas list this year. Max seems to be everything he expected.

Just wanted to leave a review to let folks know that this dog does walk, even though the person who gave 1 star says he doesn't. He takes a few steps and wags his tail and talks. I think he might even continuously walk depending on you pressing the button on the leash handle. He's a cute dog. My 2 year old got it for his birthday.

I'll recommend the toy for young kids, probably elementary age.  I returned the item though because I thought it was a little bigger.  Neglected to look at the specifics before I bought it
