[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This cookbook is an American classic.  Edna Lewis tells tales of her life, along with sharing delicious and (mostly) easy recipes from the Southern United States that will be welcomed by anyone who enjoys great home made food.

I love the authentic recipes, but I'm very sad there's no photos. I would have loved to seen at least some of the recipes prepared. I'm recommending it because of the history the recipes.
