Clarity varies between scenes but generally better than dvd.

We could never find time to watch the entire series when it aired, so we are methodically going through it end to end. The first two seasons were a little less image quality, but that would have been true then as well. In any case, acting is superb, and story lines are great. Here and there you run into one show that's a little off, but that would be the writing or subject. 

In any case, the cost of this was $50 less than the big mail order competition--so what's not to like about that? 

My only complaint is that when opening the package, the discs are not necessarily in order, and you can expect to spend half-an hour or so rearranging them in a playable order that makes sense.

Good quality with excellent DTS surround sound.  Only 1080p BluRay as stated in the product description but upscales well on my 4k system.  Looks and sounds way better than streaming for the serious X-Filea fan that wants the best available quality on the market. i had no problem with the region settings, plays just fine (USA - NTSC).

The disc cases and disc stacking make it  unwieldy.  I just put them in a binder style CD case for better organization.

It's got everything, great collection.

My son wanted the series, and when I asked for his opinion, he said he really enjoys watching them. I live in Florida and he lives in Rhode Island. I had to wait a bit for him to be able to watch them. He recommends this X-Files Series 1-11.

this is the best X-Files box set available. it is region A,B,C so it will play on ANY Blu-ray player! plus the hi def looks amazing %26 included every special features ever. must but for x-files fans

I own quite a few complete series on bluray and this is common with the shows from the 90's that the picture quality will be so clear and bright then the next second it will be dim and low quality picture but haveing said that it's still heads better than the dvd's. the later seasons get better so definitely worth a watch!!!

A classic, but not on par with some newer bluray

Being bluray youd think more episodes per disk but no, same qty as the dvd sets per season. The packaging it the worse Ive ever encountered. 3 or 4 disks are stacked up on eachother and nearly impossible to remove, the backs are covered in finger prints from trying to remove them all the while hoping they dont crack in the process. Just the very worse packaging.

In good condition, but the listing says it's region free, and it's actually marked Region B (Europe).  Will have to return it because it cannot be played on American Blu-Ray players.

Be advised, I had to buy a multi region, Blu-ray, DVD player for $190 in order to play this set of DVDs because this set of DVDs are for region B and the United States disc are region A
