My husband is a Mosquito magnet. It doesn't matter where we are, if there is a Mosquito within a hundred miles, it will find him! 
I actuality ordered this early when it went on sale but when we were going to visit a friend with acreage, I gave it to him early. So yes it worked then and we tried it out again today. The Thermacell is going to be a life changer as we can take it with us eveywhere!

If you hunt where there are mosquitos you MUST have one of these!! They absolutely work as advertised creating an invisible barrier around you that keeps those blood thirsty bugs at bay!! We hunt the marshy areas on the shores of the Chesapeake Bay - at times I will set up two Thermacells in my stand as the insane numbers of the mosquitos there can "carry you away" LOL

The mr300 was a replacement for an older model that took upwards of 30 clicks to light if it even lit. I use it for hunting and the old model was just to noisy.  The mr300 works great one click and its working. 100% satisfied with it. I have to give credit to the sales staff because they did give me a discount on the purchase.  I really wanted the older model fixed and was told it would cost more to fix then to replace the unit.

This works great. If you follow the instructions and let it sit for 15 minutes in the area where you'd like to repel the bugs, prior to sitting there, it works perfectly. Our patio is 5 ft by 16 ft and we just set it between us on our table and the mosquitos clear out quick. It is pet safe and doesn't stink which is a bonus.

Great PRODUCT Turkey Hunting Partner

I am still using my original Thermacell that was purchased in 2010.  Thinking it may stop working at any time I decided to purchase a back-up.  The MR300 was an excellent choice for me.  I rarely go to the woods or work in my garden without taking a Thermacell with me.  If mosquitoes are a problem for you purchase the MR300.

Great product

Decent but not as nice as my 1st generation. The clip would be a nice addition if it actually stayed attached to the thermacell device. Mine falls off all the time. The new case is also kind of cheaply made compared to the old heavier duty one and now only has one pocket instead of two.

It works and is priced appropriately

It takes half an hour to warm up. It probably helps keep bugs away though I don't know for sure. There is a similar device on TEMU for $12 that is electronic and rechargeable so you don't need to keep buying those expensive refills. And the pads only last 4 hours. Refills add up!

Thermacell Customer Service

I don't know if the mosquitoes of my central Florida home are more persistent than others but this doesn't seem to work in my backyard. In fact, I even have a picture of a mosquito resting on the device itself. I've tried letting it sit outside by itself for a bit before going out with my seemingly delicious skin and blood, but that didn't help. I'm pretty surprised because this was recommended by a friend who uses it while hunting in literal swamps.

My backyard mosquitoes don't mind

Bought two of the original thermacell when they first came out. They worked perfectly and kept the mosquitoes away. This hunting season I bought a new one after the bottom that covers the butane, broke. The new model does not heat up enough and DOES NOT keep mosquitoes away. I got eat up. The next morning I used my old one and it again worked flawlessly minus the bottom cover.
