Pedals are positioned too far from the seat, affecting accessibility.

I picked up this tricycle for my 2-year-old son so he and his brother no longer would fight over the one tricycle we already owned.

Pluses: Very easy to put together - it doesn't have those annoying, tiny metal caps to hold the wheels on like most of these plastic tricycles do. Inexpensive, unlike some of the luxury tricycles out there for 2-4x as much. Easy to push with feet until he's tall enough to reach the pedals. Storage under the seat for toys, books, old milk cups..

Minuses: It would be a stretch to see a 5 year old on this comfortably (box says 2-5), so keep that in mind when purchasing for an older child. Steering was very stiff to begin with, but has loosened over the last couple of weeks. I expect this problem to disappear in another month or so of use.

I used Walmart ship to store pickup and the item was ready within two hours, which was impressive. For some reason the pickup location was in the back of the store and not well labelled.

Haven't written a review on anything in awhile but thi deserves it. The shipping was unbelievably fast, I received it the 2nd day after I ordered it using standard shipping! The trike itself was super easy to put together and is super durable. I was concerned my 2 1/2 ye old son would be too tall for it because he is as tall as the average 4 yr old but was pleasantly surprised and thrilled to find that if he even wants to use the pedals he really has to scoot up!! But I tell ya, right now he just loves using it like the Flintstones and moves it with his feet on the ground instead. So I will say don't be discouraged if you order this for a just turning two year old and they can't reach the pedals yet because they will love to sit and shuffle it with their legs and look forward to using it for years to come! Yeeeeeeehaaaaaw! Awesome toy.

Durable - 2 1/2 yr old LOVES this!

I own an in home daycare and have 4 of these. Have had several over the past 14 years. It is a great tricycle for the price. Sturdy and long lasting for many hours of fun.

My 3y/o really enjoyed riding his tricycle with helmet, knee pads and elbow pads. Great steering for a not-so-regular tricycle user. Great item for beginner tricyclics. The storage compartment under the seat is very useful and convenient for storage of extra items during tricycle trails to clutter-free the tricycler and all tricyclic baggage areas. Bright colors alert  pedestrians and motor operators to use  tricyclic safety measures for toddlers and caution safety. Great item to exercise and strengthen distal and  proximal body parts.

Easy to put together. Just right for a two yr.old. Can't reach the pedals yet but can use feet and push it along. Will be able to use it for a long time.

Great toy

When our 20-mos-old grandson visited us last July, he enjoyed the Dora Tough Trike a friend had given us. When he got back to Portland, OR, his mom said that was the only toy he wanted to ride. (We'd have given it to him; however, taking it on the plane would've been a challenge.) Therefore, we started combing the internet to see where we could find one to have shipped out to him. When he received the Thomas Tough Trike, his mom snapped a picture of his excited face. Obviously, it's a big hit. It's the perfect height for him, and soon he'll be able to reach the peddles.

Fisher-Price Thomas Tough Trike

Purchased for little grandson for his birthday. Went together well except part that holds handles on. One side didn't want to screw in flush like the other side did.

This was a birthday gift for my now 3 yr old son. The assembly was easy, took only few mins. My son is approx. 38 1/2 inches tall and can barely reach the pedals on tip toes. Besides the fact my son isn't tall enough he still enjoys playing with it.

This trike is useless. My son is 3. He is tall and had no trouble reaching the pedals, but the tires just keep spinning, there is no traction. It's a piece of plastic junk. Will be returning.
