The story was a cute short story that he reads over and over .The toy does take 2 batteries but that is fine .. he loves watching it roll around .. he has a small track that he builds to let Nia ride on I love it and so does he...

I only lowered my rating because he immediately started asking for tracks, houses, and other trains to go with it. When I encouraged him to play with this first, he lost some interest (pretty standard 5yo reaction).

Entertained the 5yo with ADD

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My grandson hasn't stopped playing with it since I gave it to him.  He sleeps with it. If I let him he'd take it in the bath with him.  He lived the story has me read it to him over and over. He can recite it as I read it. This is by far the best program for product reviews

Fisher Price Thomas & Friends

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My boys were so excited when they got this train with the story book. Nia is one of their favorite characters, they love that she is shiny and special.  My 3 and 5 year old  have set up all 5 of their Trackmaster sets to test her out on, and she runs great on all of them. They have also tested her out on carpet and hardwood floors and have plans to race her against their other trains.  This toy keeps them entertained for hours!!! The book that comes with this set is very basic, but it doesn't stop my 3 year old from reading it over and over again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son loves Trackmaster Engines and although he already had a Nia engine, he was very excited about this new shiny Nia. He loved that she came with a short storybook as well. Now he's hoping to collect the rest of the "shiny paintwork" engines.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have been testing the train over the last few days and our 3 boys liked the story book and enjoyed playing with the train and carriage.  It worked well on hills and valleys, and it didn't have any problems on our older TrackMaster tracks. They really enjoy playing with the motorized trains and TrackMaster sets which keeps their interest for a long time.
