[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just like it is advertised. Great Grandson loves it

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very nice item and in excellent condition

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a really great pack of extended Thomas the train wooden track! The only thing you really have to be aware is that it's really only for Thomas the Train Wooden track. It does come with a couple extenders to connect to a regular track but I would buy this separately to connect to regular wooden tracks.

Great for Thomas the Train Track

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Such a great set! Our kids loved expanding their Thomas sets with this expansion pack! Love physical building toys like this to expand their imagination and creativity. The pieces are well constructed and hold up to play wear and tear great! Would recommend to any parents.

Great expansion play set!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this last month for my 4 year old and she plays with it every day. She loves to rearrange the train tracks to take her Thomas train on new adventures. The tracks slide together easily like a puzzle so she has no difficulty making fun changes.

Fun to rearrange!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm very happy overall with this expansion track. This is my first experience with the new type of connectors. My older wooden Thomas tracks just have the straight piece with the circle on the end.
What I like: I do like the new connection system, is easy enough for my toddler to put together, and I feel like it's a stronger connection that with break less and stay in place better than the older style. I also like that connector pieces are included for the track to connect to the older wooden type style track
Cons:
I wish that the track was double sided like a lot of the older style tracks. I also wish it came with more connection pieces to connect to the old style wooden tracks. It confuses my three year old and I will probably have to separate the two track styles until he learns the difference.
Overall I would definitely recommend this track expansion especially if your starting out and only have the new type connectors. Just be aware the end fittings are not the same as the old style if you have a lot of older Thomas the train tracks.

High quality track

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Being a parent to 4 year old boy/girl twins can make finding toys that interest both of them challenging! This Fisher-Price® Thomas & Friends™ Wood Expansion Track Pack definitely holds both of their interests. The strong wooden tracks are made of quality material because they have taken a beating these last few days and are still going strong! The 4 plastic direction changers keep the building process fresh and new every time, with so many options to create.
The only issue my kids had with this building set is when they tried to include train tracks from another toy company that doesn't have compatible connections. Yes, Fisher-Price® Thomas & Friends™ Wood Expansion Track Pack did awesome with including 2 adaptors for playing with other brands of wooden tracks, but there is only 1 for transitioning to the other sets and 1 for transitioning back. This limited the option for how many different directions the kids could build in, especially since the 4 direction changers in this set are so fun to use. As frustrating as it was in the beginning, it didn't stop them from playing with the expansion pack and including it into their regular builds. Would still highly recommend, whether you have other Fisher-Price® Thomas & Friends™ Wood Sets, or even a competitors set. Tons of fun and endless building options to explore!

So many building options

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I should have read more carefully. I thought this came with a couple trains based on the picture, but it DOES NOT COME WITH ANY TRAINS

No trains

I actually bought two of these to go with our Figure 8 set because I wanted my son to have enough to build with. We only have track with the new connectors and I wouldn't recommend using this with the older or other brand track, it would be awkward even with the adaptors. This had plenty of track and we can build all kinds of layouts, one probably would have been enough but I found a great deal. I mostly like the new connectors.

This list points for two reasons, one the price. I got it from Amazon and did not pay anything near retail. I'm not sure I would have got it at that price. The second star I took off was because the turnout pieces are plastic. I assume this is to build in the switch mechanism, but I'd much prefer they be the simpler wood turnout with no mechanism. They'd be simpler to play with, look nicer, and it would mean overall your track is mostly wood.

Essential for having enough track to build.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was excited to add this to our train track collection because of the pieces that allow you to switch the directions trains travel on the track. However, I did not realize that these tracks connect differently than traditional tracks. They do come with two adapters that allow you to connect with traditional track, which is nice. However, keeping the tracks separate from the other traditional pieces we own and building in a specific way to be able to use the adapters is a pain. They also do not fit together as seamlessly as traditional tracks. Given the choice to do it again, I would not have added these to our track collection.

Not as good as other wooden tracks

I bought this track to expand on one I bought at the same time when Toys R Us was going out of business for our son's Christmas present. The switches are plastic and cheap/not sturdy- our battery Thomas runs right off and derails no motor how much we try to get it to hold in place correctly. Even worse then this- the way the new connection is built- the edges are clipped at each connecting joint which seem to make the train derail even more often (every turn) since every joint has edge pieces missing for the wheels to go off. We will definitely NOT be buying any more track as long as this new design is in place. I will be searching for the "old" joint tracks to continue to build our collection.

Disappointing Expansion

Thomas & Friends Wood Expansion Track Pack for kids ages 3+ featuring six straight and six curved wooden track pieces, four gray turnout connectors with red knobs for switching tracks, two blue ramps, and two adaptors compatible with classic Thomas & Friends Wooden Railway sets, made from sustainably sourced wood.
