[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a really great pack of extended Thomas the train wooden track! The only thing you really have to be aware is that it's really only for Thomas the Train Wooden track. It does come with a couple extenders to connect to a regular track but I would buy this separately to connect to regular wooden tracks.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Got this set a few days ago and kh son has been loving the switch pieces! This is my first “official” Thomas the train track pieces and they work perfect! With the addition to the adapters and the ramp pieces this way is perfect for anyone!

Perfect set!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What I really loved about this is how well the track was made and how it stayed together. My son loved it because it stayed together and he didn't get frustrated playing with because the tracks came in linked. He also liked it came with two pieces that would allow the train to go in different 
directions. Most sets we found only have one so this allowed him to be more creative.

Good quality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you currently own any of the Thomas the Train sets, this expansion set is a MUST! I have 4 kids and we started collecting Thomas sets when my first was born and he's now 25! We still have all the sets from when he was a kid and not only did he play with them, but so have all his sisters! My two youngest (3 and 5) received this set and they were able to incorporate it right away with their older Thomas sets. I enjoy watching them problem solve (how to make the tracks in the shapes they like and have them match up) and play creatively. They loved having the extra pieces to create more tracks for Thomas and his friends to travel on. They set it up and made a little town. Each time they would play with the new pieces they would set it up a little differently each time. There's so many possibilities with 20 extra pieces to play with! I also want to add that the quality of these pieces is just amazing! All the Thomas the Tank brand items that we've had over the years truly have been what I would call heirloom quality pieces. They're built tough and can withstand years of play even being passed down to the siblings!

Great product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this last month for my 4 year old and she plays with it every day. She loves to rearrange the train tracks to take her Thomas train on new adventures. The tracks slide together easily like a puzzle so she has no difficulty making fun changes.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The new tracks are way easier to assemble my kids overall had no issues. The one thing my kids did seem to struggle with was turning the knob to get the track to switch over but overall its a great product.

I actually bought two of these to go with our Figure 8 set because I wanted my son to have enough to build with. We only have track with the new connectors and I wouldn't recommend using this with the older or other brand track, it would be awkward even with the adaptors. This had plenty of track and we can build all kinds of layouts, one probably would have been enough but I found a great deal. I mostly like the new connectors. 

This list points for two reasons, one the price. I got it from Amazon and did not pay anything near retail. I'm not sure I would have got it at that price. The second star I took off was because the turnout pieces are plastic. I assume this is to build in the switch mechanism, but I'd much prefer they be the simpler wood turnout with no mechanism. They'd be simpler to play with, look nicer, and it would mean overall your track is mostly wood.

Essential for having enough track to build.

I bought this track to expand on one I bought at the same time when Toys R Us was going out of business for our son's Christmas present. The switches are plastic and cheap/not sturdy- our battery Thomas runs right off and derails no motor how much we try to get it to hold in place correctly.  Even worse then this- the way the new connection is built- the edges are clipped at each connecting joint which seem to make the train derail even more often (every turn) since every joint has edge pieces missing for the wheels to go off.  We will definitely NOT be buying any more track as long as this new design is in place. I will be searching for the "old" joint tracks to continue to build our collection.
