Our neighbor's 2 year old loves Thomas the Train.  I was so glad to find it at Walmart as we used to buy this for our now grown children.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 3 year old loves anything with wheels, so of course this was super awesome to him. It was easy to install batteries and will ride on the Thomas the train track if you have one. My son just likes to turn it on and watch it zoom around the house. I like that the switch to turn it on is on top and easy to maneuver. It can ride around by itself, or you can attach the cargo in the back for more imaginative play. This was a pretty cool addition to our toy vehicles, easy to use out of the package, not too difficult for my 3 year old to turn on and off and helps encourage him to use his imagination.

My son had fun and got lots of exercise following the train around the floor, turning it on and off as he talked like Salty would in the show. This is a great representation of the Salty character.

My kiddos enjoyed being able to add additional freight to Salty's load.  It's great that despite the updated look of the train it still works with the same accessories of the older models.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Salty is a great addition to our ever-growing motorized train collection from the Thomas & Friends line! Our three-year-old is super obsessed with trains right now and loves to play with the various characters. He is starting to learn their names and differentiate them by look and cargo, so having a variety is coming in handy! My one complaint with these, and has been, is that they do eat through AAA batteries quite quickly. Other than that, we love the motorized trains; they get plenty of action both on and off the tracks.

He has a few similar toys and played with them together. He would even play with the attachment with some of his other toys in a different setting.

Fun train toy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this product a few weeks ago and I am happy that I did. The train is really fast, a lot faster than expected, and it runs very well without the need of a track, which is a plus that you don't need accessories to use it

Very fast

My son was so excited to get it but it was difficult to install the batteries and it didn't really work despite both the toy and batteries being brand new. He still will play with the train and the coal car by manually pushing the toy, but I don't think it works the way it was intended to unfortunately.
