[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Spontaneous backsplash refresh in our kitchen, led us to an upgrade of our range hood which led us to an upgrade of our cooktop :-)   i spent a considerable amount of time researching as I'm a former chef and wanted performance without killing my pocket book.   WOW, this is my first induction cooktop and im amazed and thoroughly pleased with the level of control I have over my old electric glass cooktop.   I can't wait to make some of my more complicated dishes.   I've only had it 1 day and I will highly recommend Thor to anyone I know or talk to

I called the office directly and Mr. Steven placed the oder on MONDAY around noon. He promised I would receive my cooktop by no later than WEDNESDAY. It was by my door  on TUESDAY late afternoon!! Just AWSOME!!

I placed my oder directly to the Ontario office on Monday, and had it delivered on Tuesday late afternoon. Wow! speaking about  great service. Even though I have some stainless steel cookware, I want to upgrade to a whole new Induction set for this new cooktop. It is very simple to operate yet it looks sophisticated as the other high end expensive ones for far less.

Awesome: Simple but Sophisticated

I purchased the 30 inch Thor induction in July, but recently had it installed along with other renovations. We love the touch controls and the efficient performance of this attractive  cooktop.

Attractive efficient touch control cooktop

I got this induction cooktop to replace a cracked glass electric cooktop.  It fit right into the same space with minimal work and I started using it the same day.  I'd thought ahead and bought a set of stainless steel pots to work with.  I love it because things heat up super-quickly, and unlike the electric unit, it's "instant off."

A Game Changer!

Our old counter stop stove was here in the 99s and it was definitely time for an upgrade. Thor had all the features I was looking for and the perfect size for an easy swap. We installed it. It was pretty easy. Instructions could have been a little better or even a video to help. We figured it out though. I love the features. It boils water super fast. I love the lock feature with having kids and animals and it's easy to unlock when I need to. The controls are easy to use and understand.

Perfect replacement

I had an electric top before and it got so hot and never could cool down to a simmer.  It was frustrating at times.  I bought an induction cook plate for Black Friday a few years ago and have been using that primarily since then.  I finally broke down and bought this so I can stop having to haul that plate in and out every time I wanted to cook something.  I love it.  It's just what I wanted and the price was right.

Just what I wanted

I wanted to buy an induction cooktop to finally replace a very old radiant electric cooktop but really floored by the price of Bosch, Thermador and the other big names. I found the Thor model and really curious because of the price. Well, the cooktop functions really well and can't say anything bad! The price is incredible. I would highly recommend this product because I see no difference in quality. The double griddle burner is excellent as is the large burner. I like the controls and the layout. I will consider other Thor products as needed in the future.

Hard to beat the price or quality! Wow!

So far, great product at a reasonable price. You have to follow care guidelines cautiously and change some bad habits. The glass is fragile, so sliding a pan across the cooktop can scratch surface. Prevent boilovers that could damage the surface also. I think the success with induction will come with following instructions and understanding that it's a new method for cooking.

New fan of induction cooking

This 30” induction cooktop was new in a house we recently purchased. I used an induction range at my old house prior to this.

Pro: smooth top, easy to wipe clean
Con: settings are not backlit and very difficult to read w/o a bright light. Two separate touches are necessary to change power setting, unlike a knob which is far simpler and doesn't require scrutinizing the numbers. Because it is difficult to see, it is easy to inadvertently lock the cooktop (hopefully will get used to this with familiarity. Overall, would greatly prefer knob controls.
