Thunder Group has come up with a novel solution to the costs that accompany such disasters in its 10 Oz Polycarbonate Rocks Glasses(PLTHRG010C). These rocks glasses are constructed of crystal-clear and shatter-proof polycarbonate that mimics the look and feel of glass without sacrificing durability. The rocks glasses have a stackable base that allows for a more efficient use of space. A center-locking feature prevents a stacked pyramid from tumbling when jostled.

These rock glasses looked like glass and are beautiful. They were present for my parents who are senior citizens and are starting to break a lot of glasses. They loved these glasses, because they appeared to be like glass, but are unbreakable!! Especially for the heavy base and thin rim, which gives a real feel of a glass. My entire family was impressed and they were interested in buy some for their families. My only negative is that they say they are scratch resist but when I use my scotch sponge was use on the scouring pad side, one glass scratched badly. So, please don't make the same mistake as I did!!! Use ONLY the soft pad side to rinse the glass, and DON'T use the dishwasher on the bottom side. Use the rack on the top. Best is to use hand wash to prolong the life!! =)

Have had glasses for about a month. So far the glasses are not showing any scratches from use and they are still coming out of the dishwasher clear ... no clouding. the base is excellent for reducing sweat on the outside of the glasses so little to no ring on the table.

Good Buy

I was looking for a glass this size, but didn't want 12.  My purchase turned out good.  Glad I purchased from Sam's because the price was right.

Quality appears to be good but cannot rate any further until they go through the dishwasher many, many times.

Polycarbonate Rock Glass - 12 pk.

I purchased both the 12 oz. Classic Tumbler and the 10 oz. Rock Glass 4 months ago because I have 3 kids who are kids and needed a break proof glass that would not shatter. The specs on this item state, “Shatter-proof and durable” and “Restaurant heavy-duty grade”. These defiantly do not hold up to that name. Almost every one of my glasses have cracked and leaked one by one. For the price and quality I would not recommend them for restaurant use.
