Made of a material that fits small wrists.

Can be exceptionally bright, but may fail prematurely.

Perfect size for me, alot of persons have issues with the date, here is how to adjust it.

How to Adjust the Date;
Pull the crown out to the middle position (Position "B"). You will feel it click once.

Turn the crown in either direction to rotate the hour hand.

Every two full revolutions (24 hours) the hour hand makes past the 12 o'clock position, the date window will advance or go backward by one day.

Push the crown all the way back in (Position "A") when the correct date is displayed.

The outside diameter is 1.5 inches. My previous watch (Dakota) was so durable that I hadn't gone watch shopping since the turn of the century. So I was shocked to find the men's watch market is now flooded with oversized, extra-easy-to-read faces. Is that because of boomers who have presbyopia and don't want to wear their glasses, or is it the kids who prefer those? IMHO, huge faces look passable on a high-end watch, but in my price range they look clowny at best and pretentious at worst. After a lot of wasted time at the mall and window shopping I gave up and took a chance buying one online. So it was a relief to find this one was the size I guessed it would be based on the strap proportions in the picture.

Another nice feature is the face that glows upon pressing the dial.

classic men's face size

I looked for this watch specifically as I had already owned one in the past. I like the style. I wanted one I could see easily even at night this watch fits the bill. The numbers are clear not fancy, even the 24 hour numbers are easy to read. While it is listed as a mans watch I think it is more unisex. I am a frequent hand-washer and this watch stands up to being wet often. Even the band wears well under the stress I put a watch through. I only remove my watch to bathe so it gets a lot of wear. while the second hand is not a sweep type it is not so jumpy that you can not time a pulse with it- The only reason I am replacing my old one is that the person replacing the battery messed up the back and it no longer works right but this is after many years of service so I have no problem with the watch maker just will use a jeweler next time a watch needs a battery not a big box store employee.

great buy

As I have had one like this, I am happy with its clear dial and date. I was especially glad it had the Indaglo feature.

Just what I wanted and needed. Fair price.

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my son and he absolutely loved it ! Very happy with this purchase.

Very Attractive Watch

I bought this watch for myself for nursing school and have loved it! Works great and is easy to see. This is my second one - I lost the first one after many years of service.

Love it!

I've owned this watch for several years now. My go to work Watch I wear daily. It is abused daily. This watch still looks like new. It takes a beating and keeps on ticking as the saying goes. Best watch for the money in my book. I needed an inexpensive watch to wear daily and never thought it would last with the rough work I do. It's still working great and i'm amazed.

A work horse.

timex.com

It's a great watch for the money. I've been wanting a field watch for quite a while and I figured why not the Timex Expedition. Looks good, has a decent strap, and also has Indiglo so you can see the time in complete darkness? My only reason why I didn't give it a 5 star rating is because the description inaccurately described the case size as 39mm when it's actually smaller than that (37mm I believe, according to the Timex website). However, I'll be keeping it anyways since it still looks good and it's still very much worth the money.

Worth every penny!

purchased this watch to replace my much older timex expedition that I have had for many years that finally started to have problems. the indigo light was going out

great value to replace my much older timex

I got the Timex watch in a timely manner. However, I take it off at night and the night before last and it just " stopped working. I reset the time and it began to maintain the correct time. I said all that to say this; I will never purchase another "Timex" watch again. I'm 70 years old and remember John Cameron Swayze when he was the man of "Timex". Timex, takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin'. is what he said. I don't believe that now. You ask and I answered. What now???
