The motor on this blender is very strong, so it will do a good job on whatever you want to put into it. But I have some issues with the design of the jar and the top. The jar is thick glass, so it's very heavy. It's difficult to attach to the base just right. The plastic top is difficult to put on the jar. As I said, the blending part is great. But after you're done blending, it's tough to get the jar off the base, then hard to get the lid off the jar. If I'd known all this before I bought it, I would have chosen a different blender.

Almost a year later and it is going strong.  Use it for all types of jobs, especially smoothies.  Does a good job of chopping up the ice and mixing ingredients.   Hope we can get a few more years out of it!

Just As Described. But After two (2) Uses The Motor Burned Out, Sucks...

Only two (2) Uses-Motor Burned Out

I recently bought a blender and had to return it since it didn't blend ice very well and left banana chunks in my smoothie. The Toastmaster is excellent and my smoothies are now perfect. The lid fits quite snugly so it's best to fill your blender with goodies, then put it on the base and lock it in BEFORE putting the lid on. I learned the hard way with my smoothie ingredients spilled all over my counter while trying to get the lid to fit. Other than that, I LOVE this blender!

WONDERFUL

Total piece of junk. The blades spin but do not intake any of the materials to blend. Food must be forced down manually into the blades.. In doing so I have lost several spatulas. I bought it because it was the cheapest.. I guess you get what you pay for, for in this case not even what you pay for
