I needed a higher seat for my hip replacement surgery, and this was PERFECT.   The installation was easy, the fit was great,  and the price was very fair.  It is very stable and it is a must for surgery for ease and comfort.

I also ordered a slow close toilet seat. However it did not accommodate the hard wear that came with the toilet riser. I had to use my existing wood toilet seat. The holes on the slow close seat were too small.  I may try drilling the holes wider at a later time. It would be nice to make the hard wear bolts smaller.

Pros - you can install the original seat and lid on top of it. The opening is as large as the original seat and fits an elongated toilet perfectly. Easy to install as long as your original bolts are not rusted. A good height, the typical 3.5” elevation.

Fits well and easy to install

I was ill for several weeks and wasn't able to install until this past week. I followed instructions but when I was tightening the screws underneath  the top of the screw broke through and broke the toilet seat. Now I see I can't return the spacer.
Any suggestions??

It's more trouble than it's worth I wish I would've bought the ones that just sit on the top of the toilet I had to call a guy to come and install it and then the screws showed through so then he went and bought another toilet seat it's really higher than I expected I wouldn't buy this again

Hi riser toilet seat

I bought a toilet seat riser for my disabled mother-in-law and it was nice that it came so quickly but she can't use it because all of the parts were not in the box that were supposed to be with it it's missing the bolts and nuts and washers that attach it to the toilet so she can't even use it and I can't return it because of your policies if somebody could please send the rest of my order so that I could use the product that I bought that would be great

In theory, it should work. Just remove your toilet seat, place the riser on the toilet, place your toilet seat on top of the riser, and use the long bolts provided to secure it all. Seems easy, right? it would be, except that the bolts provided are far too big to fit in the bolt holes of the toilet seat. and that is providing your toilet bolts are open, and not sealed in its own plastic cover. Most toilet seats are manufactured with the bolts covered with plastic tabs and are very small. 
Add to that the fact that I cannot install this item unless I buy a new toilet seat, assuming i can find one that will work, and I cannot return the riser due to WalMart policy. So, I still have a very short toilet, my spouse is coming home from the hospital in 2 days, and I am effectively scr3wed.

It will not work with your toilet seat.

Be advised that this riser comes with two long bolts and washers which are too small to fit over the holes to attach to the toliet. Also the bolts provided are too thick to fit into the holes for the toilet seat. I needed to alter the toilet seat hinges as well as find larger washers so the bolt and washer provided would not collapse into the riser bolt opening. Would recommend going to a medical supply place to buy a toilet riser if needed. Can't return this item so I'm out the money spent .

Not returnable and ill fitting

This riser is made well but it does not work on any toilet seat. I had to buy a different toilet seat to make it work and then had to do some adjustment to the seat to make it work with the riser. It would be better if you provided a seat with the riser so all parts would fit properly. It would be worth  the money because it is so easy to install if all parts work together. On the good side, my handicap  spouse really liked it for ease of getting off of the toilet. The photo shows how we attached it to the seat using some of the parts that came with the new seat. The bolts for the riser had nothing to hold the heads to secure them to the riser and the toilet. That's why a seat and riser set would be much better.

Just Bolts

Description say fits standard round and elongated toilets. Does not work for elongated . Once the slide in wedge is put in I can't get screws tightened enough to hold riser in place. Slides side to side where I'm worried about falling off.
