How do you get your little one to understand when it’s time to get up? The Tommee Tippee Groclock sleep trainer uses colors and pictures to help children who are too young to read an ordinary clock, to understand when it’s time to sleep and when it’s time to spring out of bed and play! Simply set the time you would like your child to wake up in the morning and this sleep trainer clock will show the passing of time using colors and symbols. When it’s time to sleep, the blue clock face features a sleepy Ollie the Owl surrounded by hearts and stars. As the time passes and reaches your pre-set wake-up time, the stars start to gradually disappear until there are only hearts left and our lovable Ollie the Owl appears awake on a yellow background. With two time setting options, you can choose to set different weekday, weekend or naptime wake-up times. With adjustable brightness settings you can easily turn the brightness down or off completely. As your child grows the sleep trainer can also be used as a handy nightlight for comfort and reassurance or for when your toddler needs a night-time toilet trip As your child gets older, parents can choose to set the optional audible alarm – perfect for routine wake-up times. The optional digital clock feature allows parents to also display the digital clock – ideal for when your little one starts to learn digital time. The sleep trainer clock is powered by a 3.5mm USB charger* so there’s no need for batteries (*excludes adaptor plug but compatible with most USB plugs used as phone chargers). At Tommee Tippee, we design products that make life simpler for busy families. With our fast-growing Sleep range, we’re helping families with the biggest challenge of early parenthood: Getting a good night’s sleep. Tommee Tippee's collection of sleepwear and sleep aids such as our Groclock, Groegg and lovable Grofriends provide complete peace of mind for parents - so you can all get some well-earned rest.

Instruction Clarity

Design Concept

Has a blue light with adjustable intensity.

Setup is straightforward with clear instructions.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Started using this with my 2yo who was getting confused on day/night with time changes. It's simple enough for her to understand to lay in bed until "the sun comes up" and if its stars are still out to stay tucked in. It's still a work in progress, but this definately helps her have a visual! It has a soft glow that doesn't seem to bother her either. Would recommend for your littles who are able to get in and out of bed on their own!

Awesome simple clock for toddlers!

tommeetippee.us

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have been STRUGGLING to get my toddler out of our bed and into her own for quite sometime now, so when I saw this I jumped on it! It has been an awesome addition to our nighttime and naptime routine and makes her feel more independent too! And that helps mommy and daddy sleep better, Happy baby equals Happy Mommy! I will say that the light can be a but bright at times but I have learned to kind if adjust that by turning it by a certain angle, but so far so good!

So far so good!

We've had this clock for a few days now and so far has been working as intended. My son wait for the screen to change and then he gets up.

Dose the job

I bought this clock for my 18 months son. I love it, many settles possible to personnalise it. We use it every night!

Good choice of clock

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] That is amazing clock for kids,at first of all it is easy to use for kids, and kids can learn how to use clock it is entertaining for them. They can adjust night light and also bedtime and nap times, fun for them to watch stars moving. It also has a digital clock option. But the most amazing part is that has bedtime story book included,my kids loves playing it every night. If you want you child to learn how to use alarm clock that is the best option for them and easy to use it.

amazing clock for kids

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a cute little toddler clock that allows my 2 year old to know when it is bed time by showing a blue star clock face or when it is okay to be up with a yellow light up sun. I wish it could be completely dimmed at night time because she doesnt like the light it puts off. Very cute concept and easy to use

Very cute great for toddlers

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 3 & 4 year old boys love their new clock, they've always been one for waking and wanting to get up really early, so I was hoping this was going to help with that. Unfortunately my 3 year old just ignores the clock but it definitely helps my 4 year old not get up so early in the morning. It's simple for them to understand day & night with the different colours and they love seeing the owl on the clock. It's really easy to set up, my only dislike is having the have it plugged in as it just means another loose wire in their room, I think I would have preferred it to be battery to be charged up but still it doesn't stop us using the product in hope for my 3 year to start paying more attention to it too!

Great Product

tommeetippee.co.uk

Kid likes "putting the owl to sleep" and usually responds well to the light in the morning. He does not like the blue light, so we appreciate being able to turn it off completely at night.
I would not have kept it, however, if he hadn't liked the owl, as, although the concept is good, the interface and functionality of the item is ridiculous. It is not intuitive to set, requires manual activation at night (which has become a routine, but is silly that that has to be the case), has no way of delaying the alarm without resetting the time (a tedious process), and requires a constant plug in to the wall but does not provide a wall adapter. Honestly, in hindsight, I'd probably just buy a timer for the wall outlet and a nightlight and it would provide the same functionality...but the kid is used to the owl now.
My final thought is this: why are we putting a nocturnal animal to sleep at night and waking him up in the morning??

Owl irony

The screen came a little broken (part of it is blue paler than the rest)

Does the job well, easy to use

Partially defective article. The siesta setting does not work. The company does not want to refund or exchange it, despite several reviews online with this problem.
