Purchased for my grandchildren who love Tonies and "Pete the Cat"!  They also have another version of this Tonie but enjoy this new one also because the stories are not the same but just as entertaining!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have an Autistic grandson who loves music. I wanted to get him off his tablet so I purchased a Tonie box for him. He is loves it! I have now purchased over 20 Tonies figurines. My grandson is a huge fan of Pete the Cat. I was so happy they had one. He loves the songs and stories that it plays. This is defenitly worth the investment. I highly reccomend this for any child!

Pete the cat rock on tonie

Pete the Cat is beating out high priority Tonies like Paw Patrol. My three year old loves reading the Pete the Cat series books, and it carried over to the Tonies. I like that Pete the Cat is interesting enough to keep him engaged during the day, and calm enough it can also be used for bedtime wind down. For a very visual book series, the overall experience translates well to the audio of the Tonies.

entertaining for the young one

The stories are read in a very monotone manner.  The chorus of old Macdonald is grating when it is read slowly. My autistic grandson plays the stories over and over, so he likes them. Wish it had my new white shoes on it.  Has the groovy and cool feeling we know from Pete.

We all know Pete

Only 2 people narrating the stories? They read them really enthusiastically, but there are no other sounds to make it more engaging (no other character voices or melodies for Wheels on the Bus or Old MacDonald) . But between this Pete the Cat and the other one, my daughter likes this one best.

A little boring compared to other tonies

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The stories are as expected, but I'd expected the “songs” like “Old McDonald” and “Row Row Row Your Boat” and “The Wheels on the Bus” to be sung, not recited in a dramatic monologue. My kids were baffled, as was I.

Pete the Cat: An Adventure in Sprechgesang

This is, by far, my least favorite Tonie.  They chant all of the songs, which is both odd and irritating.  Old Macdonald is the worst, chanted in a weird monotone and goes on forever. Ugh, I can't stand this Tonie. 

2 stars because my kid unfortunately likes it.

Actually terrible

Pete the Cat is s rockstar however all the books in this tunie are read including Old McDonald which is especially irritating. This is a song and should be sang. Pete has songs in some of the books when read by the author in other venues are sang. The child narrator reads every word even songs parts or whole book which are sang like Wheels on the Bus. 2/10 would not buy again.
