My husband and I put it together in about 20 minutes. It is super durable plastic that has held up through multiple storms and hail. I love the large capacity. We use it on our front porch for basketballs outside toys, pool toys and things of that nature I love how versatile it is as well. If you really wanted to, you could use it indoors as a toy chest or in your garage to store things. Love the springs on the sides of lid so I can reach inside and not have to hold it open. You do have to give it a pretty hard push back down to close. Awesome outdoor piece
