and overall concept of the game..seems like it will be loads of fun.
I personally like strategic games, it's something more than just
a brainless game, it requires thought which makes the win that
much more great! Can't wait to play with my hubby and kids!

Strategy Board Game

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband has always loved the Top Gun movie and now has my 10 year old hooked. Bottom line is the game is fun and easy to learn. The volleyball phase is silly fun. Where this game really shines is as an introduction to learning air combat in a board game. Good stepping stone to bigger games, like some of the star wars games, where you would do combat. Game has the feel of an 80s Top Gun movie, with little easter eggs. Game is really two in one with the volleyball and then the air combat. Component quality is pretty good for the price. They enjoy playing the game, but I believe it could use more clear instructions.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I didn't watch the movie which this game is based from; now that's on my to-do list. Perhaps it's the reason I thought the game didn't make sense. But who said games should make sense? It is about having fun and that's what matters. The game offers about 40 minutes of fun. It can be a little challenging too because in the plane phase, you may not see well the hexes that are open for you to target. Overall, it's a good break from the screen.

Complex Strategy Game

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you love nostalgia, board games, strategy or you are trying to stay away from the computer, or if you just want a family game night, this game will do the trick. This game is based off a famous movie from the 80's. It's a two part game, for 2 to four players. This game is designed by Prospero Hall, for those who are board game buffs. For that alone, this is a must have to collect. First, the colors are bright and attractive. There is a “volleyball” play incorporated into this game. Movie buffs will know what I'm talking about, lol. Once we got the feel of the game, I think it's brilliant how they pull the main aspects of the movie into this game. It was truly awesome to play. It takes a bit of time to learn the combat portion of the game. But once mastered, it's a breeze.

This is a great interactive and thought provoking game. It makes you think outside the box to strategize how to win over your opponent. It's a fun game that provides an educational experience too!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Top Gun strategy game is so much fun to play, and even more awesome if you are a fan of Top Gun like I am! This game reminds me of the movie one hundred percent. I will say that some of the rules are a big confusing and somethings are not explained at all. Once I started playing the game I did understand more of the rules and what to do. My favorite part of the game is the dogfighting portion, however the volleyball section is fun as well. I definitely recommend this game to anyone who is a Top Gun fan or even a fan of 80's movies. Top Gun Strategy board game is a lot of fun overall and a great addition to my game closet.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My family didn't find this an exciting game. There are two sections to play in order to finish the game. The volleyball portion seems silly to get flying points. I think this would be a great collectors item for any Top One fan.
