It feels  heaver that the other one I have,  It could be from the weight of the light (that u manually have to turn on) and the hook could also add additional weight .  When u put pressure on the arm it start to  fold in.    The other one I have  has a sleeve  slider  to  eliminate that from happing.  I think I should return it. The quality of the materials are good it just doesn't work as well for me.

Bought this for my disabled mother.  I was beyond impressed with it.  It is supported with metal wire instead of string, like some models. And the fact that it comes with a magnet, flashlight, and you can adjust the claw is so convenient.  This blows my mothers old one out of the park.

High quality for a low price. Get it.

Doesn't lock in place, keeps folding during use. Magnet is weak and sticks out catching on things. The light worked until the housing caught on something and fell off. Rubber grip peels off so it no longer grabs. Internal wire breaks when grasping firm.

Don't buy

This foldable reacher grabber tool with light has helped me out so much after having multiple surgeries. I felt bad about asking my family for help if I dropped something on the floor or needed to reach high for something. When I went in for my two-week post-op check my doctor was impressed with this tool. He never thought about recommending it to his other patients. The switch for the light is very tiny and hard to find if I don't wear my glasses. Get this tool if you know that you or someone else will be scheduled for a surgery or multiple procedures that required bedrest and physical restrictions.

A Must Have for Bedrest and Physical Restrictions

I was shocked at how great this product works!! Let's just say it will pick up "anything"  including a piece of lint or a kitchen crumb.  No more bending over for anything in the morning when you're back is a bit sore. I am 100% pleased with the entire aspect of quality and performance. 
I wish I had invented it!!!!

I love that this has a magnet, but it makes the grabber harder to use. It sticks out to the side. But, the grabber has a feature I didn't know when I bought it. The head can be rotated so that the clamp works in different directions while your hand stays the same. Rotating the head can compensate for the poorly placed magnet. I also wish the light switch was in the handle, but that would make the product far more expensive. For the price I paid, it was very useful. I might get another in a color I like more. The color I got was on the fastest shipping and I needed it right away. I don't do reviews often but the product earned it.

Good grabber but the magnet is poorly placed.

The design idea is good and I like that you can turn the grabber part for the angle you need it  but the folding joint is on the top of the arm when you hold it.  If you press the least bit to pick up something, it folds so you can't pick up anything. You can use it upside down, but it's awkward and uncomfortable to hold that way.

It is better than anything I've used. It grabs very well. 
Easy to handle and picks up very well. I dropped a small
pill and I didn't think it would pick it up but it did very easily.  I love it. I'm disabled and I'm glad it works so great. i have three in my house. 
I would buy one or more if needed.

Grabber

This item has more features than I expected.. One, it folds in half for travel. And, it's got this cool little flashlight aimed just right. One improvement would be to make the flashlight rechargeable. But, I'll see how long the battery(ies?) last(s).

I'm handicapped and I find that these are so helpful that I now have one for each of 4 rooms in my house, I can't believe that I've waited this long to come to my senses and purchase these products as part of physical handicaps deal with breathing and bending over!!!
