After researching numerous microwaves for quality, size, features and wanting one with handle to open & close instead of push button I settled on this specific one in black stainless steel. The turntable (12.6) was perfect for my use & larger than one in my last microwave. I have only had mine since 4/28/2020 and so far have not had the opportunity to test all functions however the ones I have used have worked perfectly. I am a senior, was able to unpack it after it arrived at my door, put it up on my counter by myself, read the instructions & start using it. The reason for my 4 stars is I haven't had time to use all functions. I do like the look & color. My one con comment might be the numbers might be a little larger however my old microwave was white so even the black stainless steel color has been an adjustment for me. In my limited use to date I have not had any problems.

Have had this microwave for maybe 2 months now and it suddenly stopped heating yesterday. I gave it 2 stars for it being super quiet and heating well when operational.

My folks bought me this cool new tech. Microwave for my birthday as a kitchen addition. Unfortunately it didnt work from the get go.... no heat and throws an e-5 code a keeps running after time expires.

Apparently needs some bugs worked out.

I don't write reviews but thought if this helps someone, fine. I bought this 13 months ago. It never cooked evenly, cooks poorly when choosing settings like popcorn. As of last week the light bulb started strobing. I contacted customer service email and was told I needed to call. After calling was told I could take it to an authorized service center to replace the bulb at my cost, but it was not replaceable by me. I have never had a microwave break within 13 months. I will not be purchasing a Toshiba microwave again. In essence, it lasts just long enough to have the warranty expire.

Do not buy

When the microwave arrived I was very happy. It did everything I wanted and then some. But, 9 days after using it the quick cook buttons that are supposed to cook automatically at 100% started cooking at 80%. I had to unplug the device to reset it. I returned it. I thought that maybe I just got a defective unit - it can happen. I purchased another one and 9 days after using it the same thing happened. There is an obvious design problem. I will be returning it and not buying another one. You know that it has a problem when an item starts taking longer to heat than it previously did. You can also hear the microwave start cycling, like it does when you select a power other than 100%. Very disappointing. Toshiba used to provide quality products.

The first one failed after 9 days and so did the second one

I bought this microwave 06/18/19 because I trusted the Toshiba name brand and nowadays it is difficult to find quality products. We did not start using it until we closed on our new home 07/01/19. I loved this microwave and was very happy with it until I noticed that intermittently the power level would drop from 10 to 8. At first I thought perhaps whatever I had in the microwave was creating too much steam and it was a self-adjusting feature. Within the next couple of months it happened more often so I placed a call to Toshiba customer service. The woman I spoke with told me she had one herself and this was perfectly normal for it to adjust power levels on its own. I continued to use the microwave but over the next two months the condition has worsened. I heated a TV dinner and the reduction in power resulted in me having to heat this dinner for twice as long to get it hot enough to eat. It also dropped power when I was doing a 30 second reheat of my cup of coffee. Other times it operates just fine. And finally, it no longer defaults to power level 10. I have to unplug the microwave from the wall and replug it in to get it to reset itself. Adding insult to injury, my microwave sits on a microwave shelf at eye level between two upper cabinets and the outlet is behind the microwave in this space and very difficult to get to. I'm not even sure if this microwave issue is a safety hazard. Not a happy camper.

Defective microwave

After reading all the reviews online from people having the same problem as I am, it is obvious there is a manufacturer defect in the non user serviceable light bulb. Flickers constantly and is really annoying

Lightbulb flickering after one year

It worked fine for a year and a half and now just stopped heating the food completely. The manual does not give troubleshooting for this problem either. I've never had a microwave so working in a year and a half.

Not working

This was the best microwave that I have ever owned, but then the light started flickering. My husband purchased this in Oct of 2019. It was opened Christmas of 2019. I have had it right at one year with a one year warranty and they REFUSE to honor the warranty. NOT OK!

Wont replace terrible product NOT HAPPY

This is really spacious and I am really disappointed. It makes a terrible noise and lights up like it is going to catch fire about once a week. We have to unplug it to stop this problem. This is the second one we have gotten in under 6 months and both have the same issue.
