Now that I'm in my 70's, balance, flexibility and core strength are more important than ever.  The Total Gym FIT allows you to do everything from yoga style flexibility stretching to functional resistance and weight training.  It tones and strengthens core muscles which greatly aids balance.  And because you're lifting your own weight by means of the cable system, multiple positions and range of motion is possible.  Excellent machine.

Totally Impressed by the Total Gym

I purchased this total gym because it can accommodate my weight. The ease of using the equipment is helping me to acclimate from very easy exercise to gradual complexity. I am already seeing a difference in the scale by simple stretching exercise. To say the least I am very happy with this purchase.

Safe way to excercise

I got the total gym at the begining of the month, I love it it has great varity of exercises, since I started I lost 15lbs I work out every day sometime twice a day, I still have a long way to go because I need to get to my dream weight of 155lbs I started at 215lbs so I got 50lbs more to go and I give myself till June of this year to make my goal.

Easy Set up

I purchased my total  gym  fit a few weeks  ago. I absolutely love it. I love that you are able to fold for storage to keep space. In addition, I enjoy working out at my leisure. I'm  beginning to see results in stamina, energy, & sleep. Also, I lost approx 3 Ibs thus far.  I'm  happy I made the purchase.

You gotta go for it!

I love my Total Gym! I had knee surgery due to an injury 3 years ago and although the pain is so much better the function was only about 70% which caused me to abandon my old workout routines, so if course, my weight has increased over those years. With the Total Gym, no pain in my knees with working out, in fact I have increased my range of motion and strength in both legs and now have little to no pain with walking and I can get off the floor with little to no struggle (which was a huge problem!).
I cannot imagine not doing it on a regular basis. 
Although, I have not loss any weight, yet I am definitely stronger and losing inches and know eventually weight will begin to fall.

Total Gym and Knee Pain

I'm loving the Total Gym. It combines what I love about an erg and a Pilates Reformer. The Pilates bar works really well incorporating the moves I love so much from the studio. Total Gym TV also has some challenging core/Pilates/Barre workouts that tremendously help me where my weaknesses are.

Total Gym is so versatile!

I purchased the total gym fit 3 weeks ago. I could see and feel a difference within a couple of days. I had been going to the gym and getting frustrated with my slow progress. With the total gym I am free to work out whenever I want and do not have to go out in the weather or have to wait for a machine. I have to modify my upper body workout due to five shoulder surgeries but can see a huge difference in them on just 3 weeks. I have dropped several inches and can feel a difference in all areas especially my core and abs. I would recommend it to anyone.

So I have severe scoliosis in my spine and I've been inconsistent pain for the last 20 years and I've had chronic pain in my lower right hip and since I've been using the total gym and getting those muscles to work, the pain is starting to subside. This was absolutely smartest investment I've ever made.

I have been using the total gym for 2x a week, roughly about 20mins each time.  I am impressed with the type of workouts, however, I am knocking off one star due to an occasional issue of the sliding board getting knocked off its track and me having to re-center it prior to starting another exercise.  Also, for the leg exercises, I am not that impressed due to not being able to get a good inner thigh stretch.  The leg harness doesn't fit well with people with wide feet so I had trouble using the pulley system.  While I feel it is beneficial for other parts of the body, the legs (other than squats or exercises that do not require the additional equipment) are not. I would recommend the company to improve its accessories for people that have wide feet and better cables for the inner thigh workout.

Good for the beginner but it has its flaws...

I bought this about a month ago and it was very hard just to get it out of the box and drag it to my bedroom where I tried to open it and set it up, but it was to long and did not fit anywhere in my small appartment so I had to send it back. It was a pain to get it back in the box with all the stuff that came with it. I never even got to try it.
