Ease Of Use

Easy to mix and use, expands quite nicely.
I needed more that what one of the quart kits would fill, so I bought the gallon kit because it was a better price that what two of the quart kits would have cost.
I mixed it in small batches to do my project and I was very happy with how this stuff turned out.

I used TB two part 2lb foam to build a 65 gallon insulated fish hold on my 21' skiff.  Beyond the ability to rough it in using a mold (see pics), the fact that I could apply polyesther resin right over,  and then 1708 and gel coat, made it plausible.  Retains an ice slurry for a very long period of time.  Solid.  I hope this might be useful to others.

Fo Shizzle!

I had to put a new tube in my boat for all the rigging on the inside of the hull.  This stuff worked perfectly.  Prepare for a HUGE mess. It is also very sticky until it dries.  I spilled some on the carpet in the boat and it pulled the carpet up when I was trying to clean it off.  Not a big deal as I am recarpetting the boat anyway.  I have a tip for using this in confined areas.  The area I was working in was small and I had to get it full all the way into the back.  What I did was mix up a batch and pour it into a 1.5"""" PVC pipe with a wad of paper towel to plug one end.  Then I stuck it into the area I was working on and pushed the foam out with a stick.  Sorta like a giant syringe.  Worked Great and turned out great.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The 2 gallon kit was enough to do 2/3rds of my 17' boat floor.  Which was perfect since my fuel tank is in the middle.  Got garage to about 80 degrees.  Expanded very quickly so be prepared.   Glad I had my wife mixing while I poured.  Would definitely buy again.

Would buy again

Used the 6lb foam to rebuild / repair a Boston Whaler FC27 outer hull breach.  About a 3 x 4 section of hull with crushed foam.  Cleaned out old foam and built the foam up in levels.  The ability of the foam to bound with the previous layer worked great.  Used waxed paper on cardboard behind planks to create the cavity to fill in with foam.  Enough working time to use injectors in to tight spaces.   Take a little practice to learn just how much you need to mix at a time.  Expands a lot.  Worked in 40 to 50 degree weather which slowed expansion a little but still filled what needed to be filled.  Easy to sand for a flat surface to bond the fiberglass panels to.   Used the foam in several places in this rebuild including filling in factory through hull holes that were never used and to repair the tail upon replacing the ladder.  Great product.

Whaler Reconstruction

I used this to fill the void in the bow of my sit in kayak. I hung the kayak upside down and poured the product in untill i was satisfied.the produt set up fast.a year later i filled the kayak with water and stayed afloat just fine. Good product.Just have help mixing it and timing it, it sets up very fast.

Did exactly what I needed, replaced foam floation that had to be removed to conduct repair.  A little goes a long way, one issue with this product is determining how much is needed to fill a void.  if working in small areas you needed to do in small batches.

First timer

I am using this for floatation in my old Starcraft Aluminum Boat. This 1959 boat did sink once since I have owned it. I am replacing the plywood floor and now l will have floatation so the boat can't sink anymore. The only downside is the mess and it doesn't pour even.

I would use this product again

I pour totally 4lbs into the bow and stern of my sit inside kayak (Perception sound 10.5). I test the kayak a week later on the near by reservoir by filling up the kayak with water. The kayak float!!! I bought the first 2lbs from James Town distributor. The packaging was poor. Both metal cans have missing  seals. The liquid leak out.Even though the metal cans is in a plastic bag. But it is messy.So, the second 2lbs I orderer from US composite. The packaging is very nice. No messy liquid leaking all over the plastic bag.
