I made my first week-long trip to Europe with my new Maxlite 5. I was a little skeptical about the capacity, compared to my standard 22-inch Travelpro, but was able to fit all I needed to in the Maxlite 5. It was easier to handle on the outbound. On the return, I avoided the finger-wagging from the European airlines by conforming to their more restrictive size requirements. 
The new smaller size and the simplicity of the design, coupled with the customary Travelpro quality of materials and construction make the Maxlite 5 my new favorite rollaboard.

Perfect size, especially for those fussy European

Light is might. This suitcase easily handled a week long European vacation clothing, toiletries and footwear. With a bit of room to spare. And it fit easily in the somewhat small regional SAS overhead bins.

Compact and overhead bin compatible

Bought specifically for overseas travel, but used for domestic as well. Wheels are durable, the suitcase is well made with no wasted space. Our other TravelPro wheeled carry-on is still in great form and has outlasted a non-TravelPro-branded carry-on (whose wheels just shattered one day). Highly recommend.

The quality we expected from TravelPro!

This was a great purchase - very lightweight and seems to be well made. I really like the color (Midnight Blue).

A nice light travel companion

Love the color - Slate Green. The weight of this suitcase is very light and plenty of space inside since it is a rollaboard (2 wheels). No problem with delivery. Looking forward to using this bag. We like Travelpros as this is our 5th travelpro bag we have bought in 30 years.

Happy with the Maxlite 5 International Carry-On Rollaboard

Although I have not yet used this bag for airline travel, I have packed it up. I like the 2 outer pockets and the inner zipper pocket. It also has plenty of space for at least 5 days of travel. I am looking forward to using it, both within the US and internationally, since it's sized as an international carry-on. I would recommend it thus far, but I really would like to actually travel with it.

Love it So Far!

I've never had any problems with my Carry On going to or from Europe, China, Latin America, or the UK until I had to make a connection coming back to the USA through Charles de Gaulle Airport. They made me check my carry on as check through luggage . They also wanted to make me check through my small backpack until I explained in French to them that my medicine was in that bag. Incroyable! There should be NO questions about this Travelpro INTERNATIONAL Carry On roller board if I ever get diverted through CDG, again. On verra!

I've never had any problems

The quality, light weight and size of the suitcase was great, but after traveling with it over the Christmas holidays, I realized that I really need a spinner style. Walking while pulling the Rollaboard behind me was painful to my arms. It was difficult to maneuver the Rollaboard down the aisle of the airplane because its width took up too much space and hit the arms of seated passengers and sides of seats. A spinner could have been placed so the narrow side was in front of me and would have been much slimmer and easier to push down the aisle with no concerns about bumping the airline seats. When outside the plane it could have been at my side and not causing weight/pressure of my arm behind me.

A Rollaboard isn't the right case for me.

The size was perfect for European carryon. It held everything i needed and still met Ryanair's strict standards. The only thing I would change is to add two more wheels so I didn't have to drag it. Maybe that would add to the size and make it too big for the aforementioned restrictions?

I like the pockets, expandability, weight (it's light but still seems sturdy), We've purchased several travelpro luggages over the years and have appreciated how great they are for travelling in a compact way! Have you considered making the international bag slightly deeper so that it equals 9"?

I am trying to return this product because I am nervous it will be too big for some European airlines for carry-on. It is impossible to return! The 'easy-to-use site' does not recognize my order number and they are currently not taking phone calls due to 'high volume'. I have never experienced a company so difficult to contact when they charge so much money. Be VERY cautious!
