Either I didn't read it or it's not there that you have to secure it and they provide the wire.  I bought it to be free standing. Hex key handle is way to small even for my hands.  After assembling the legs with help to tighten the fittings, it's still loose and wobbly.  To undo everything and return it would take awhile because there is a lot to put together.  I really like the design, but for now it's on the floor still in pieces.
