This desk is exactly as shown. It took about four hrs for my husband and I to put together, but it is more than I expected as far as quality and sturdiness. We have recently moved into a small apt and needed a work space for hobbies. The space in this desk allowed me to remove a filing cabinet and a large chest from the small bedroom we put the desk in. I'm now looking for a small matching bookcase.
