Got one for Christmas and love it. I would use this over a tiller for small garden areas. I have been landscaping my yard the last few weeks adding and redesigning some of the garden areas. This tool works great. It takes a little work to get deep down, but it can do it with ease. Very surprised and impressed with this attachment.

I took the two outer tines off, bought spacers at a hardware store and used it as a narrow cultivator to clean up a French drain trench for preparation for seeding.  The soil the contractor used was not great, so mixed in some good topsoil. This also leveled the trench.  
This was the best tool I could find.

It does leave a ridge in the center so you have to work it back and forth but works well as a tiller. Also used it to cultivate between rows in the garden and am not disappointed at all. It really chews the dirt to a fine consistency.

Don't expect it to work like a tiller to work deep into the ground, or to chomp up hearty plants. Looking forward to getting an electric trimmer to try it out with more torque/power.

Small projects are best with this item but for me doing my large back yard is a mission. It's doing it's job and I get to do sections at a time. Overall I highly recommend this tiller.

I have a Ryobi trimmer, this works great.
At first I thought is was not moving fast enough, but when I put it on the ground.....it started digging like a champ.
My wife can use it without any trouble.

After years of not putting out a garden, because of limited space. I decided to try this tiller for a small patch, The name Troy-built is an Acronym for quality.

Amazing little machine

My tiller came out the box broken and I need to get working in the yard, and it's broke now what do I do? I have to take it back and they don't sell it in the store. Ahhhhh the frustration!
