It's a little expensive, but worth every penny for protecting my equipment. The connections are nice and tight and the extra long cord is a plus. If it goes out in a bad storm or spike, it did its job.

Device is very easy to install. Love having outlets available on both sides of the unit. Having plug covers included was a nice touch, making sure I could block unwanted users or devices being plugged in. The main plus is the surge rating at a level that I wanted.

I would buy this unit again

Rock solid unit with HIGH JOULES RATING.  It's kinda heavy due to its thick steel construction and has a heavy power cord with a right angle plug.  The few bells and whistles are good ones; there's a “protected” LED that lets know if the surge/spike protection circuits are working.  It has a circuit breaker rather than a fuse and also filters out electric “noise” from the wall current, which is great if you're protecting audio or sensitive digital equipment.  The on/off switch has a translucent cover which keeps it from accidentally being turned off, but still allows you to see the red glow when it's on.  It doesn't sequentially turn on the units plugged into it automatically, but for the money, it's an EXCELLENT basic surge suppressor for protecting your equipment and a bargain.

Very heavy duty surge protector for the price.

Used in for almost a year now. So far so good. There was a power outage last April this year and when our emergency generator/UPS kicked in, any of our servers just keep on running with no reported / observed problem until now, Dec 2011. Highly recommended.
