Thirty years ago I purchased a small compressor. The filler hose is rubber and it had a plastic locking chuck. This plastic chuck broke and the manufacture no longer carried the replacement part. I needed a locking chuck because it takes a long time to fill a tire and your hand gets tired holding the chuck in place. This locking air chuck worked better than the original that came with the compressor. I wish that I had bought one of these years ago.
