I read good reviews and bad reviews on this scope,The one I received works great.Its not as clears as my nikon xbow scope but with a little adjustment it does the job. Where I hunt it's thicket and bottom land,So that being said,you lucky to get a 40 yard shot.After sight in at my house(couldn't sight in over 30 yards ran out of yard),I took it to my brothers house with plenty of room to shoot.It held true,and was only off when the wind blew a couple of inches off target out to 50 yards,but held true on elavation.If you do your part,And get some decent xbow broadheads,slick tricks magnums,or Nap thunderheads,It should work for you too.

Ordered this for my husband says this scope is illuminated,it's not had too send it back it is not what they are advertising on Walmart app. They need to fix that so people won't keep ordering it and getting the wrong item!!🙁🙁

Truglo crossbow scope

I purchased this scope for my barnett crossbow. It only has 4inches of down adjustment,7 inches of up adjustment,and 6 inches side to side adjustment.If you are not in these limits you have to shim the scope up or down,side to get it in spec. I have never put a scope on anything that was in these ranges. Usually it takes a good bit of adjustment to get a scope sighted in and this scope is not capable of that.

Iwould not recomend this scope to anyone...

The scope fell apart after I shot once with it. it's junk don't buy this item

Received item 2 days ago.. good "looking" scope but maybe I received a lemon. Scope fogged up almost immediately upon going outdoors. Went out to sight it in with my Horton Legend ultra light crossbow and shattered 3 arrows because it shot about 2 feet high and completely missed my target and hit a steel frame! Wasn't real happy! It would not adjust down at all! Not Walmarts fault and I always thought highly of truglo until now.  If you want a decent crossbow scope I would suggest spending a few extra $$ on something other than a truglo. I will be returning mine tomorrow. As far as I'm concerned, Truglo should be sending me a few arrows for my troubles... because they're not cheap either and this whole experience cost me more than just the price of the scope!
