This is a great pepper mill which does not leave pepper on counters or any place you put it down because the grinder is at the top.
It is also very easy to refill.

Straight out of the packaging I found a gouge on the side of the mill. I will be returning it unused. This order was fulfilled by Walmart. I am not sure if the damage happened in the warehouse or during shipping. The plastic mailer bag it came in has a few nicks in it too.

Gouged finish

I purchased this for a senior, difficulty turning a pepper mill.  It works, but why the massive directions sticker that surrounds the entire unit.  I peeled it off, why would I leave it on, and after 2 hours of trying to remove the sticky/tacky residue I had some success at the sacrifice of the chrome plastic finish.  What a STUPID idea, who thinks these up, really?  I am keeping the item, as I live on an island and now that I have invested both the time and money on this item, and it does work, we will use it. Would I buy again, absolutely not, would I recommend it, nope.
Trudeau is a known reliable brand, this is a poor marketing decision without thought of end user use.  What's wrong with simple instructions on paper, or the box?
