[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I went to town as soon as I received the axe. maybe I'll wear gloves next time because I made some impressive blisters after an hour of clearing overgrowth in the forest. the quality is decent and the balance is appropriate for up to 3" trunks. kept sharpened, I can see this lasting me plenty of seasons.

Upon first use seem to split well and do everything I needed to do, however saw the ax handle fracture in a way that has compromise the integrity of the handle rendering it inoperable. I had hoped for more and certainly. I have to admit that the fracture is a result of my poor accuracy, however, I had hoped for more than a single poor hit in resilience.

Looked really promising.
