Identical twins come from the same egg, which is called a zygote. This egg splits early on to form two embryos and both or these types of twins have the exact same DNA because they come from one egg and one sperm. Fraternal twins come from two different eggs that have been fertilized by two different sperms, therefore they won't have the exact same DNA.
