Awesome sound! After watching several reviews online this bluetooth speaker blows JBL out of the water in sound quality. The lights are a nice touch too. It's gonna be a great summer!

Sony Ult 5 follows in the footsteps after Ult 3.
There really is way more Fuller and inriched sound. Again if your able track 2nd one. And pair them up. In to stereo sound you really will be blown away. These are now used in movie room. I have them. In the summer days. I love the portability. No cables and mess. Turn on. Pair your Bluetooth device and away you go. It's that simple. The battery life is great. They sound amazing. Solid construction. Look great. I like line in inout. Where it will switch line from Bluetooth. Just unplug for Bluetooth connection mode. Ult button is like the loudness button. Boosts all frequencies. I always have type c cable and fast charger to hand. Just in case. Also the Sony sound app is great touch. Update firmware and create your own EQ.  Highly recommend them. Well worth the money. Thanks Sony.

This speaker grabs the attention of anyone within earshot. The booming bass is exactly what people are looking for. The build is quality as you would expect from Sony. Been using it outside for a couple of weeks this winter, and it handles the mud and rain well. Perfect addition to anyone-working-on-site's toolbox.

Booming Bass in your face!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have only used for a few hours thus far, but my initial impression is that this speaker is quite the value! Very crisp sound and impressive output. I have handled it with care, but it appears to be capable of withstanding some less than ideal conditions. I don't intend to drag it through the dirt or foresee exposure to any impact/drop potential of note, however, it is definitely not in the same category as a speaker like Die-hard or other powertool manufacturers offer. The sound quality is much more prominent, alas the "durability" is not designed for upkeep in a heavy dirt/dust/debris environment such as the 'construction-grade' products out there. The exterior would definitely be compromised with excessive exposure to dirt, but again, I did not expect to be keeping this speaker in a workshop or similar environment. I am extremely satisfied with my purchase!

Crisp and Loud -- Interpretative Rigidity

We purchased this Sony Field ULT 5 speaker for our daughter.
 Knowing the high quality sound & build quality already owning a Sony Field ULT 7 speaker myself I knew exactly how good these speakers really are.
Heavy, built to last & capable of taking the occasional knock also IP67 rated making this speaker water & dust resistant ideal for indoor or outdoor use. A supplied shoulder strap is also a welcome addition, not forgetting up to 30 hours of playback.
Sound quality is punchy, crisp & loud. Bluetooth connection is straight forward & when using the Sony Connect App offers more control over the sound output tailoring the sound to your liking.
Overall this speaker offers years of great entertainment.

Great build quality.

This was purchased as a stand-alone music system to carry in my Landrover and connect to an iphone.
Battery life is excellent and well within the stated time, sound quality is first class but needs to be in the open air for maximum effect - it does sound good from inside but tends to be a bit "boomy".
The party lights personally are an unneccessary feature but I'm sure many will love them !!!
Overall a good quality item.

Good stand-alone system.

This speaker is amazing, there's so many different options you can use. Even at full volume the sound is very crisp. It has different modes for more bass and the party lights are awesome! Battery life is excellent but it depends if you have the lights on or off and of course the volume. I take it wherever I go and everyone wants to use it. Good for any occasion. I want to buy more because you can link them together.

Sony Bluetooth speaker

I bought this on 30 Nov for Xmas and it is working well after 2 days, although was slightly bigger than expected. But it is a step up from the Bose Sound Link 3 that it is replacing. albeit not as conveniently sized. I think I did prefer the Bose for convenience and adequate  quality - but let's see how we get on with the ULT Field over time :)

Happy So Far

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Tried the Sony ULT 5 and was disappointed. The sound felt flat and lacked the deep, punchy bass I expected. Despite the “ULT” branding, it didn't deliver the power or richness I was hoping for. Ended up returning it.

The speaker has a lot of software issues, starting special the wireless connection and starting at the beginning of this month, i have not been able to use the speaker at all because it keeps crashing when I turn it on, and it wouldn't allow me to turn it back off even if I press and hold the off button. So I would not recommend this speaker to anyone else. I have been trying to reach Sony with no luck
