I purchased 2 tiger stiks for my wife and me and we love them.  We fish off the bank in rio Vista California home of good striper fishing.  These rods have great sensitivity and are durable , definitely get more rod then what you  pay for.

All of my saltwater rods are ugly stik. I have 5 Tigers, 2 stripers and 5 Elite. Well built. Solid rod guides. Reasonably priced.

Purchased for my son.  Solid rod, good eye construction, medium is not too stiff for 1lb fish which is our speed. So far so good.

Stiff backbone with the famous ugly stik clear tip / sensitive tip. Going to use with my brand new Fin-Nor 6000 reel for salt water shark fishing and schoolie tuna, i'll see how it does next August !

I just picked up this rod from a local tackle store and I couldn't be happier. I use this rod for my Striper and Sturgeon fishing here on the California Delta and rivers around here and it holds up very well. It's sturdiness and power is second to none which is why I own many Igly Sticks from Big Water setups to the Gx2 that I use a lot for lighter tackle and more of my trout fishing around here. Anyhow, back to the Tiger rod. Not only is this rod powerful but it handles more than one of my common applications I use here. It works beautifully for my heavy hard baits/swim baits  as well for those who like to cast out lures. If you are looking for a rod that can do more than this is the rod for you.

Great Product! Exactly what I needed!!

Bought rod to put a penn spin fisher 9500 reel on to go after big river cats and gulf coast bull reds. Stout rod with nice action. Onley reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 was because of the eyes. Not sure how the stainless eyelets will hold up to braided line. Liked the older type eyelets better. Time and a few 30-40 lb fish will tell. Overall, great rod for the money.

Bought 9' GX2 and made a mistake of putting a braid on it. After a few trips on salt water the smaller guides including the Tip top was abraided and became very rough. I went back to mono line and now my line gets shredded all the time because of the guides being rough.

Great rod except the guides.

Just saw that the latest Med Heavy and Heavy Tiger Rods line guides are now cheaper then the six 15 year old Tiger Rods I use for Musky Trolling. The new guides are half as strong as the old ones. Time to look at the Okumas and Diawas, they look like the guides that the Tiger Stick use to use. Sad!!

Older Tiger Rods Were Better Built

Have owned 3. Best rod ever except for the handle breaking off one. I had the rod in a  holder 8 inches deep, 20# mono leader and the drag set light. 
got a strike and the rod core broke. The rubber grip kept the rod from going over board. When I got the grip off the rod I found the last 10 inches were not solid core but small ribs glued to the core. I took pictures and sent them to shakespere. Never got a repy. I don't know if they are all made this way or if someone was covering a mistake on this particular rod. I took another rod handle and shoved in the core and still use it. Just beware, you could loose on of these if you use a rod holder.
