Rod holds a substantial amount of weight.

The Blok Curtain Rod fits perfectly in my colour-drenched "snug" (it's a bedroom turned tv room). Three walls, the ceiling, the woodwork, and the closet are all painted in Plum Martini (Benny Moore), while the fourth wall is clad in Artika's wood panels. Hence the Blok curtain rod, as the wood finials are the perfect finishing touch. The gunmetal colour doesn't stand out, and it adds another reflective surface. In a room as dark as this one, metal and glass are a good choice for the finshing touches.

The Blok curtain rod is great quality for the price. It exceeded my expectations. The curtain rod was easy to install  looked exactly as pictured. I would definitely recommend this product.

Better in person

I recently bought a curtain rod for my sons' room. It was very reasonably priced and was shipped out to me quickly. 
The curtain rod is well-made, sturdy, and attractive-looking, and was easy to assemble and install with clear and simple instructions.
Umbra is a Canadian company with a good selection of products for household needs/decor.

Very nice curtain rod

I got this in black/brass/wood and was expecting hardware of mediocre  quality at this price. However, I was pleasently surprised with very solid hardware. Target offers a similar product with fake wood and no brass. I opted for Umbra's which was less expensive and better made. Read on, but I 100% recommend this rod!

Product: It is a smooth not quite matte nor quite glossy powdercoat finish as shown. Brass is slightly on the yellow side but is true to the Umbra website photos. Solid wood finial goes well with my walnut pieces, but is definitely not walnut. Only complaint is there is no cover plate for the screws, which frankly I do not expect at this price point, but the screws were black. Tiny screw to lock rod in place, also black, not the best looking but again expected at this price. Overall the things I disliked were covered by the curtain anyway. Also, as an unexpected plus, the rod was so sturdy and my sheers were so light I opted not to install the center support. It didn't sag!

Install: I did this on my own, as a handy taller lady, in 80 year old plaster for a 88" double window. Like any other rod install I needed a small step stool, drill, tape measure, level, pencil, and screwdriver. Had it up in 15-20 minutes, but this isn't my first curtain install. If I had heavier curtains I would probably have required a second set of hands.  

Free design advice: When installing curtains you should mount above and beyond the trim and not on it if possible. It will make you window look larger and not damage the hard to repair trim you or the owner paid for. In my photo you will see 95" (7'-11") sheer curtains and a 8'-3" ceiling for reference. Brackets are 3" on center outside of window trim as well. Mounting on trim and/or tight to the window is a huge rookie design mistake.  Feel free to Google it if you don't believe me!

Great Value

This was easy to assemble, hang and has the perfect look for my guest room.  Looks much more expensive than it was.

Perfect in my space!

I bought five of these and liked them so much. They are sturdy, chic, and simple. Great price as well.

Simple design and elegant

Really good product and love it on the wall.
The only reason deducted 1 star was that the center support hinge is also completely round, hence it was slightly difficult to put the rod in the supports in a tight room.
Other than than looks and feels great.

The over all product.

I would have given this a 5 but there were chips out of the wood on each end which was disappointing as it's a beautiful rod. We needed a massive rod to accommodate a large patio door, this was perfect and compliments the style in the room.

Love the style

The quality of the ride is excellent. I didn't want to drill any holes in my new aluminum patio cover - wanted a tension only rod. Will check out if it can be done. Would only pur the curtains outside when we needed them for the sun

This would have been great but I returned the item, never received a refund and I continue to get emails asking me to rate the product. I tried to return the curtain rod because the one side did not fit into the other and was way too long for my window.
