Laptop stand is very useful.  It works pretty good to improve screen view point and helps to avoid issues with back pain. It have many ways to adjust position and height. I use it with a wireless keyboard and mouse and with my laptop screen positioned at my head height. 
The reason that I don't give the 5 stars is because I was expecting to be more sturdy.  The aluminum is pretty thin, so it can be damage if not treated with care. Other than that is pretty good and provides a good value for the money.

Serves its purpose. Using it for laptop. It can get top heavy depending on leg adjustments. Would be best for a tablet.

portable desktop

I was looking for a stand to put under my 17" HP laptop. The lateral distance between the small bumps on the bottom of the laptop that serve as legs is ~ 13.5", so the stand width should be at least 15". Otherwise, if you place the laptop a bit off-center, it's roundish leg might slip off and the laptop will sit at an angle. This stand is big enough to make my laptop sitting quite stably. In addition, it is light, sufficiently solid, and easy to set up to a desired conformation. The pop-up plate on the front holds the laptop well, although when it is up, it sticks a bit higher than the laptop edge, which makes using the laptop keyboard not quite convenient. This is not a problem for me though because I'm using a separate usb keyboard.

It is light and adjustable, just what my kid needed.

very comfortable when holding my tablet in various positions, if I did have a complaint it could have been a little wider, but it fits fine on my recliner
