I placed these decoratively in my fireplace to hold wood. They are very cute and well worth the money. Haven't burned the wood yet as it's July in El Paso! Very happy but the box was damaged when they showed up and I was afraid the andirons were going to be as well.

The andirons were a gift to our children and they were delighted when seeing them. The andirons will be used decoratively only in front of a gas log fireplace. Quality was solid just as expected and the green glass eyes made them even more special. The price for the andirons is reasonable and the next day delivery was a nice surprise.

I love them!! Great quality! Using as a base of an oversized folding shutter, that I plan on putting plants in the slats!! Waiting on weather to clear up to use.

Santa left these "cats" for me this year and I love them...they're set up & in the fireplace with a fire blazing away...very nice :)

Very Cool Cats!

These andirons are great!  They look really nice with a fire behind them.  The eyes are not as green as I expected, but they are still very mystical and cat-like.  Most people think they are antiques when I show them off, as they have that vintage look.  Very heavy cast iron and they hold the heat from the fire for some time after the flames are out. Love, love, love!!!

The eyes weren't that green, they are more of a washed out yellow. But they do flash when the fire is really going. The cats themselves are awesome. It's true that they are on short stands. You have to purchase the extensions to make it long enough to put wood on.

Cool!  I got these as Door Stoppers - I have a fireplace insert (Buck Stove from the 70's) and these will not fit inside - but they do fit outside the firebox - in the winter they stay on the hearth - in the spring, summer, and fall they will be used to hold the door(s) open - they are really cool!
