The colors are just like in the picture.  The rug itself wasn't as hard to handle as I had thought it might be. I was able to place it under a heavy chair and couch by myself.  Its exactly what I wanted, I'm a renter and really did not like the feel of the carpet on bare feet, so I purchased a 8x10 rug to go over it.  Adds some much needed color to the room.
