I like the lamp. It does what I expected. I don't like the fact that it comes with instructions attached to the power cord telling you to tighten the center joint of the arm with a screw that is too big for the hole in which you are supposed to tighten it. Either they sent the wrong size screw or the hole i not the size it should be. I asked that a screw of the right size to be sent to me. I don't have it yet.

I had a lamp like this for 15 years before it finally died. I was glad to find that I could still get one like it to replace it. The only difference on this one from my last one is the on/off knob. On my old lamp the on/off knob was a dimmer switch, on the new model I bought the knob has a low and high setting. Happy to have my desk lamp back!

More light required

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was looking for a warm halogen lamp that the cats would enjoy sleeping under during the winter and this lamp suits the purpose. The only negative is the "set screw" is way too long and as a result, it looks like the lamp has been MacGyver'd together rather than  correctly assembled.
