[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently had the opportunity to use Valspar Quick Deal Exterior Oil-Based Stain for a woodworking project on my deck, and I couldn't be more impressed with the results. 

**Application:**  
The stain went on smoothly and evenly. I used a high-quality brush, and the oil-based formula spread beautifully, allowing for easy application and a professional-looking finish. The 1-gallon can covered approximately 250-350 square feet, as advertised, and I found that I only needed one coat for most areas, making it a time-efficient choice.

**Performance:**  
One of the standout features of this stain is its excellent durability. After several weeks of exposure to the elements, I'm thrilled to report that it has held up remarkably well against rain and UV rays. There's minimal fading or discoloration, which is often a concern with exterior stains. Additionally, it has a water-repellent quality that seems to repel moisture effectively, helping to prevent rot and decay.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So, I don't have a ton of experience with stains and I've not had much luck using them thus far… but this applied beautifully. I used panty hose to apply it in small sections so it did take me awhile to finish my project… but it looks fantastic. I'm sure it would have looked much better (and been much faster) with a sprayer but I'm pleased with how it turned out. It seemed like it took forever to dry though but I think that's more of a humidity issue and less of a product issue.

Very nice stain

Pretty easy to use, we did two coats and then let it sit.
We haven't encountered bad weather yet, but so far we bad a good experience.
