The color was a true taupe. Very soft and warm. The stitching that reviewers complained about, needs to be there to hold the batting that's inside so it doesn't bunch with movement. Maybe some stitching that would follow the design of the pattern, a diamond shape, would have been a nicer look.

This is a lovely quilt.  I especially like the Basket Weave texture.  The price was good and the color selection was good.  I gave it only 3 stars because the pillow shams are so small.  They don't fit a standard size allow.

Nice quilt but shams are too small.
